History of the EAGLES Fight Song

Did you know?

History behind the Eagles FIGHT SONG!

“The Eagles’ Victory Song” was the creation of Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland as credited in various editions of Eagles programs from the late 1950s through the 1960s. Though the song was published in 1960, its creation – specifically the lyrics – actually dates back to the late 50s. Frank Courtland and his band would play it at Shibe Park and Connie Mack Stadium, initially, to an underwhelming fan response.

Fly, Eagles fly!

On The Road To Victory! (Fight! Fight! Fight!)

Fight, Eagles fight!

Score a touchdown 1, 2, 3! (1! 2! 3!)

Hit ’em low!

Hit ’em high!

And watch our Eagles fly!

Fly, Eagles fly!

On The Road To Victory!

E-A-G-L-E-S!

Eagles!
